Who is Brian Aguilar?
Let’s get to know each other
I'm a Product Designer with a frontend engineering background, based in Seattle.
I've spent the past several years designing for enterprise products at Amazon Web Services and FamilySearch — leading UI/UX work on AWS Chime and Wickr, backed by real user research, prototyping, and iterative testing.
I design scalable features and user flows by combining deep research, iteration, and feasibility testing with metrics to back it up.
Figma is home base for my design systems, prototyping, and high-fidelity UI work, and I lean on AI tools like Claude and Claude Design to prototype faster and explore more UI directions before committing to one.
My engineering background means I design with technical constraints in mind from the start, and I hand off complete, implementation-ready specs that engineering teams can actually build from.
When I'm not designing, you'll find me at the gym or thinking too much about an outfit — fitness and fashion scratch the same itch design does: noticing details, refining, and caring about how something comes together.
